Heartbreakingly beautiful. A story about a girl who feels left out at home and at school that hits way too close to home for me. Shannon is so easy to identify with and her journey into her teen years is a journey most girls go through. Backstabbing friends, delicate home situations, and more. For me, it was the analogy of her older sister being a bear and trying not to upset the bear that was so similar to my own situation, the resolution at the end had me in tears.
