Brilliant! Such an adventure to read. Any self respecting bibliophile should read Treasure Island at least once. Characters are well written, the plot moves at a brisk pace and it is thrilling at the end. Long John Silver is the absolute "Founding Father" of smart pirates.

My first full unabridged original novel which I read as a wiry kid. The portrayal of the sea voyage was mesmerising beyond description . It lead me to Christian Bale's movie adaptation and finally to Pirates of the Caribbean .
