What Members Thought
I’m one of those people who believes that characters belong to their creators, I don’t wanna see Anna Karenina strolling around Piccadilly Circus or Elizabeth Bennet clubbing in the Big Apple.
That’s why I was skeptic about this book and the Bennet family in the modern era.
To my surprise Katie Oliver did a splendid job. Yes, Mr. Darcy is honeymooning on a fancy yatch and Emma is working in a bakery but still they have that special aura Austen gave them.
