Me gustó mucho más este libro que El cuento de la criada. Ya sé, ya sé, no me maten, jajaja. Tengo debilidad por las historias postapocalípticas y se me hicieron bastante interesantes todos los temas que explora a lo largo del libro. En algún momento seguiré con la trilogía, a ver qué tal.

Oryx and Crake
I find the story of Snowman and the crakes interesting, but feel like we just glimpsed the Crakers, I needed more time with them. Jimmy’s story starts interesting, but the college years part was really boring, luckily is a short part.

- The book plays with our fear of a human extinction as a result of our tinkering with biology and genetics.
- As snowman ponders, are the Crakers humans, and if so are they our equals, after all they are genetically modified, lab-created ...more

Lo que más me gustó fue la relación entre los dos amigos: ambos se sienten fuera de lugar y se encuentran, son diferentes pero se sintonizan y son capaces de ser el respaldo del otro.
El final es abierto pero no ese tipo de final que busca que el lector lea la segunda parte para tener un cierre: bien podría haber terminado la historia en este punto y sería un buen final. El deseo de leer la siguiente parte es por conocer el otro lado de la historia.
