Last year I read and loved the first Mistborn novel. I never wrote a full review of it because I wasn't sure exactly how I felt about it. I have personal preferences for how I want my stories to play out, and Mistborn challenged those in many ways. After letting it settle in my mind a while, though, I only had positive thoughts. By the end of the year I was already longing to reread it.

Puede que tenga las mismas estrellas que el primer libro pero me gustó menos, por dos razones que en realidad son la misma:
primero, en este libro odio a Vin, lo que no esperaba porque si bien no me caia bien en el primero, no tenia problemas con ella. Pero en este libro es insoportable, su monologo interior, sus problemas amorosos... me tenían gritando de frustración.

Muy bueno pero no me gusto tanto como el anterior.
Tenemos una mezcla de las consecuencias de la rebelión, la fe al sobreviviente y la lucha por el poder, de un lado. Por otro la introducción al verdadero antagonista de esta primera "Era" (trilogía). Incluyamos la revelación de varios secretos y nuevos que nos meten.

El Pozo de la Ascension es el trasfondo del libro, que tan entretejido con este están las acciones de los personajes y si tristemente el pobre Zane estuvo metido en ello para tener ...more

Sadly, i give 3.5/5 because a certain part that i didnt like... it made me remember feelings that i didnt want...

Well of Ascensión

IT starts with a high action sequence, a murder attempt of Elend by mistings and a mistborn, stopped by Vin, so it makes you think is going to be like that all book.

Well then we find it’s been a year since the Lord Ruler death, and the city is about to be sieged by two armies, and another army of giant-like creatures is on the way. So the book main plot turns into a political thriller on how would Elend manage to avoid the city being destroyed and captured by people who would ma Well of Ascensión

IT starts with a high action sequence, a murder attempt of Elend by mistings and a mistborn, stopped by Vin, so it makes you think is going to be like that all book.

Well then we find it’s been a year since the Lord Ruler death, and the city is about to be sieged by two armies, and another army of giant-like creatures is on the way. So the book main plot turns into a political thriller on how would Elend manage to avoid the city being destroyed and captured by people who would make the skaa slaves again, while maneuvering the new political system he created that want to depose him because he is doing quite a lousy job as king. There is this character, a terriswoman who is to tech Elend how to be king, that’s quite entertaining but just accentuates how bad at ruling Elend is.

There is also a mystery plot, we learn there is a shapeshifter creature infiltrated, who has been replaced. And the answer really was a surprise to me, good job there.

There is another Mistborn called Zane who is actually quite interesting, but the author tries to make a false love triangle there that really never starts (luckily for it would not have worked)
And then there is the over the series plot, what did the Lord Ruler controlled, that was released when Vin Killed, what is it with the Mists, the logbook, the Terris prophecies. The author just goes around it without really giving us anything, until the very end. At points it helps the book, but in others makes you close your eyes in exasperation.

El nivel no ha bajado tanto como la gente me había dicho, pero el final ha sido un poco obvio. A ver cómo acaba la saga.

PD: Tyndwyl, Clubs, Docks... T_T.
