Tras leer el primero de la serie, sabía que me iba a gustar, ya que el primero me tuvo enganchada, pero este me ha creado la adicción, esta llena de aventura, cada vez que acababa un capítulo, ya estaba empezando otro, sin poder dejar de leer, y con un final que te deja con ganas de empezar el siguiente.hacia tiempo que una serie no me tenía tan enganchada.

Este tomo es mejor de lo que parece.... Ahora sí fue un Light Fantasy NA (pero sin tanto drama :)
Primer libro de Maas que si me convence :v

Si lo comparamos con el primer libro de esta trilogía (que no fue muy bueno que digamos), este segundo tomo tiene mejor trama, menos romance (gracias por eso!!!), menos drama, más acción, mejores personajes secundarios y, lo más importante, desarrollo y crecimiento de los personajes principales .... Lo mejor de todo: No hay un triángulo amoroso

Estuvo divertido y lleno de clichés. Definitivamente el fuerte de la autora no es la fantasía, no recomendaría esta saga como de fantasía. Es una buena historia romántica de adultos jóvenes con mucho drama propio de las telenovelas. Pero la fantasía es donde más se queda corta. El villano parece de chocolate, espero que mejore la siguiente entrega. Primero que nada creo que debo recalcar que mi parte favorita de está historia es el trasfondo psicólogo que tiene, no es nada sútil, pero me agrada bastante como Feyre va abriendo los ojos y como eso puede llegar a ayudar a cierta lectora o lector que lo necesite, es como un "amiga date cuenta!!!" Jajaja

En fin, debo admitir que me había gustado mucho el primer libro, si, el romance había sido una cosa rápida e intensa, pero lo acepte por las circunstancias Okeeeey... Vale... Por donde empezar...

En fin, debo admitir que me había gustado mucho el primer libro, si, el romance había sido una cosa rápida e intensa, pero lo acepte por las circunstancias y por darle crédito a los demás detalles. Pero apenas avanzaba capitulo tras capitulo de este libro, más peros le iba sacando a aquel.

Ahora voy a decir lo que de plano no me gustó, odié, ni siquiera encontré coherente... Número 1: Ianthe. En serio. Tamlin es un tipo muy poderoso, experto en cosas de batalla, astuto, realmente demostró esas cosas en el primer libro, ¿y de buenas a primeras viene y cae en picado en los engaños de está sacerdotucha? ¿En serio? Mijooo acabas de salir de una maldición de 49 años por confiar estúpidamente en una mujeeer! ¿En serio no aprendió nada? Realmente esa parte no se me hizo creíble o coherente, no con el poder y los años que el personaje debe reflejar.

Número 2. Lucían. No y no. Con amigos como esos pa que quiero más... Se notó en el primer libro que no ayudaba mucho, pero al menos hacia la lucha, en este... Que se dejará doblegar tan fácilmente, me irritó, más incluso que Tamlin. De verdad solo estaba de adorno en la primera parte.

Número 3. Feyre. Hubo una sola cosa que me opaco el buen desarrollo de este personaje, y ese fue ese sentimiento de "víctima" que se trae casi hasta el final. Trae un rencor y un odio que ni al caso, a riesgo de sonar machista tengo que decir que apoyo bastante a Tamlin, que acabó por los suelos en este libro, sigo sin entender porqué. Feyre se la pasó culpandolo de que no la defendió, no hizo nada por ella, que la dejó sola, que posesivo, que violento, que sufrí mucho bla bla bla. Parece que se le olvidó que él la había dejado libre, con los lujos que le había dado a su familia, había sacrificado a toda su corte, a si mismo, con tal de que ella se mantuviera alejada del peligro porque obvio, la iban a matar, ella fue la que decidió ir y "sacrificarse" de vuelta. Fuera de que ellos no fueran la pareja ideal, fue bastante injusto que lo culpara a él por sus traumas, por sus decisiones, cuando obviamente el también tiene sus propios demonios, cuando también tiene sus traumas y necesita ayuda. Odié que pusieran a Tamlin como una especie de salvaje villano.

En fin, fuera de eso... El desarrollo de Feyre me gustó, comienza siendo una cosita con muy poco autoestima, con tendencias medio suicidas cabría decir. Oscura, solitaria, miedosa. Muestra un poco de lo que debe ser el síndrome postraumático, la depresión, y me encanta como va saliendo de eso, sobre todo que sale de una manera bastante creíble, no de golpe, no sin recaídas, y rodeada de gente que poco a poco se va convirtiendo en su familia.

Y bueno, Rhysand... *Insertar corazones aquí*. Desde el primer libro el señor oscuro me gustó mucho, sabía que sería un buen personaje pero no me imaginé que se llevaría el protagonismo. Eso sí, me costó creerme su lado bueno al inicio, sus justificaciones para las cosas horribles que hizo. En la gama de personajes de está saga Rhysand es el opuesto total de Tamlin, donde Tam es débil Rhys es fuerte, donde el primero es aceptado y amado por todos, el segundo es visto con asco. Pero hay mucho, mucho más detrás de la historia de estos dos.

No sé si sea una característica de está autora, pero es la segunda saga que leo de ella donde después de presentarte un romance bastante decente, comienza a destruirlo y mostrarte los errores, no me molesta, es bastante entretenido, pero si podría haber sido más sutil. Me gustaría que no hubiera dañado tanto la imagen de los primeros personajes que nos mostró, pero tambien me gustaron los giros de la historia. El final, ya me lo venía venir con respecto a ciertos tratos, pero si me sorprendieron mucho otros giros.

En conclusión, me gustó mucho más que el primer libro, especialmente por el mensaje de superación, de salir de la oscuridad, de ni creerte todo lo que ves a la primera y no aceptar una relación abusiva, valorarse y quererse más que a otra persona.

Espero que el tercero siga este ritmo. ...more

Okey! So, the first book was nice and a real kind of retelling of The Beauty & The Beast story with some original ideas where the heroine is the one who saves the prince. And even if there were some critics about the writing and the characters, I liked it.
Now, this book took me some time to finish, it was just my curiosity to know when the characters are going to enter into war and to meet the villain "king of Hybern".
The story is no more a retelling, it should have been a total new story wit Okey! So, the first book was nice and a real kind of retelling of The Beauty & The Beast story with some original ideas where the heroine is the one who saves the prince. And even if there were some critics about the writing and the characters, I liked it.
Now, this book took me some time to finish, it was just my curiosity to know when the characters are going to enter into war and to meet the villain "king of Hybern".
The story is no more a retelling, it should have been a total new story with another title and new characters. The first one could have been a standalone because you could guess the retelling but this one?? I don't understand what the auther wanted to do?

Let's be honest, S.J.M loves the word "and" while using synonyms, antonyms, enumerating things like all the time and also her unusual using of the "-", like everywhere and anywhere! It was sometimes really nerve testing. There were some paragraphes that were so uninteresting and for nothing that I was happy to jump without reading.

The first part of the book, was how Tamlin, the hero of the first book who Feyre really faced horrible things in order to save because she loved him, became a lame, pathetic character who wanted to do anything in order to "protect" Feyre from any "harm" and in doing this he kept her watched over by guards and not letting her going out even to visit her family until Rhysand came and saved her from her jail! So she left Tamlin and turned the page.

In part two, Feyre meets Rhysand's friends and his hidden city that he did awful things just to protect . He tries to help Feyre using her powers that she uses when she decides it in reality. And just like that she can use water and just like that she can winnow! This is the longuest part of the book until Feyre discover that Rhys is her "MATE" TADAM! Yeah in your face! Here I thought that I'm in a National Geography's episode about animals' mating!!
The third part was the most interesting for me because here start the good things that I was waiting for which means meeting the villains and it was too short because you have to read the next book to know how it's going to end if it ends!

There were so many stupid things that the characters did and where I was shouting "No don't do that it's a trap!" or "No don't trust them they are bad people!" At the end, they never listen.

There were so many predictable things that were going to happen that I was just waiting for the page where it was going to happen! Like when Rhys shows his beautiful city to the queens and also I knew that the human queens are helping the king of Hybern and so on. PELEASE!

I don't like Feyre, she is not a good heroine and she is interesting only thanks to those powers but her personality is LAME! Who did the casting? For me, she is not the right heroine for the character of Rhys.
When I wanted to throw the book? In different moments but the feeling was stronger when Rhys told her everything. I was feeling like it was him who wrote the book, I was like what,;!!!!;;::;;? He knew that she was his mate in his dreams before or perhaps since she was born!?!
Another fact about throwing this book, is that all the faes and High lords were so stupid and trusty that they didn't smell the wine that the evil Amaratha gave them but now whenever one of them is given a glass of wine, guess what, they smell it because they can know when it is poisoned.

The story reminds somehow of the human history. yeah,Just guess!

I loved the part where Feyre went to visit the weaver, scary. There were some very interesting parts which some were inspired by myths and so on. It could have been shorter and better and dividing the book into parts was not necessary if not well made, I think so.

I respect the author's work and there are so many critics that I can write about this book but I think it's better if I stop here. I gave 3 stars because after all I wanted to know where it was leading and there were some interesring parts and well made second characters in this book that I want to see in the next chapter of this story. Please don't screw this for me in the third book! ...more
