So it’s the story of an “autistic” boy who decides to investigate who killed the dog that belong to the lady across the Street, and ends up finding the truth about his mother and creating trouble in everyone lifes, in the end it has a kind of forced happy ending.
So the idea is interesting the mystery from the point of view from the kid, even if it’s too easy to find out. The moms backstory it’s kind of sad and must had been cruel to the dad, I know he did it all for the boy he loves, but still

As other reviewers here, I thought the premise of portraying the mind of a person with an (unnamed) autistic spectrum disorder was very interesting. And for the first part of the book I was charmed by Christopher's voice. The little details like the numbering of the chapters, or the illustrations add to the charm. The problem is that Christopher's voice alone is not enough to make up for the lack of story and the unidimensionality of the characters (I think it is quite poor, even for a YA novel)

Absolutely superb. A tender book, at times sad. Brings out the empathy in even the hardest souls.
