¿Por qué será que los personajes secundarios de Green son mil veces más interesantes que los principales? En serio, me llevo mucho mejor con ellos que con los propios protagonistas. Otro libro típico de John Green: lleno de metáforas, muchas veces confuso, y sobrevalorado.

Siendo super objetiva, tomando en cuenta que me gusto la historia, me sorprendió muchisimo y dejando mis emociones de lado (Porque tuve muchos feelings con Will Grayson -John Green-, Ok?), creo que solo merece 3 estrellas. En un inicio la historia partió lenta y hasta que no se encuentran los dos Will Grayson, no sientes que haya mucho desarrollo de la historia; pero los personajes tienen ese no se qué que hace querer saber más de ellos. El final es muy abierto, te deja muchas opciones en tu cab Siendo super objetiva, tomando en cuenta que me gusto la historia, me sorprendió muchisimo y dejando mis emociones de lado (Porque tuve muchos feelings con Will Grayson -John Green-, Ok?), creo que solo merece 3 estrellas. En un inicio la historia partió lenta y hasta que no se encuentran los dos Will Grayson, no sientes que haya mucho desarrollo de la historia; pero los personajes tienen ese no se qué que hace querer saber más de ellos. El final es muy abierto, te deja muchas opciones en tu cabeza, y al mismo tiempo esta bien, es adecuado. Ambos Will Grayson crecen de cierta forma de inicio a fin, algo cambia en ellos para bien y hace que ya no solo vivan para si mismos, si no que también con otros y para otros.

Sentí muchísima empatía con Will Grayson de John Green, quizás porque se cuestionaba cosas que yo en la vida real también me las cuestiono y teníamos un modo de actuar bastante parecido, pero siento que necesitaba más de él ... algo en él faltaba para poder sentirme satisfecha con su personaje. Ame la relación que tenia con Jane, tuve tantas sonrisas sinceras de felicidad mientra leía partes de ellos, porque no es algo tan ficticio, es algo que me puede pasar a mi, a ti o a todos.

"Besa como si devorara un caramelo, y no sé donde tocarla, por que la quiero toda. Quiero tocarle las rodillas, las caderas, la barriga, la espalda y todo, pero estamos cubiertos de ropa, así que no somos más que nubes de azúcar que chocan, y me sonríe mientras me besa porque también ella sabe que es ridículo. Nunca había sabido lo que es desear a alguien. No querer enrollarme con alguien, si no desear, desear. Ahora lo sé".

Me sentía realmente deprimida con el Will Grayson de David Levithan, encuentro que la forma en que se impuso en el relato fue cautivante, fue más atrayente que el otro Will; pero llego a un momento en la historia que dije .. "No más, me superaste, hasta aquí llegamos" porque no sentí mucha empatía con el sujeto (Ok, me cuesta sentir empatía con gente tan deprimida, I know .. yo soy el problema, no ellos), él nunca trataba ver lo positivo que tenía y aún que estuviera con Tiny, siempre veía lo malo ... y cuando paso lo de los columpios, Tiny tenía tanta razón. A parte, era tan psicótico este Will Grayson, en poca medida .. pero lo era.

"Pero así es la vida. Crecemos. Planetas como Tiny encuentran nuevos satélites. Satélites como yo encuentran nuevos planetas".

Nunca había leído algo escrito por David Levithan, espero poder toparme en un futuro con otro relato de este autor. Mantengo la idea de que John Green escribe siempre lo mismo, tiene un patrón y no innova mucho; pero que le vamos a hacer.. Ojala no se vuelva película, aunque mientras leía me imaginaba en mi cabeza una película de esto, con banda sonora y todo, pero no, no quiero. ...more

CRAP. I'm in love with Will Grayson II. ♡
Srsly, desde el primer capítulo de David creo que me llamó mucho más que Will Grayson I. Sinceramente no voy a hablar mucho porque sé que voy a terminar spoileandolo por completo así que solamente voy a decir que TIENEN que leerlo. Es lindísimo.

The two Will Graysons characters, one written by John Green and one by David Levithan, were well-written constructions of two very different identities. They are very different in their personalities, in how they put themselves on the page, and in fact, the only things that makes the two coincide or have anything in common, (which I suppose was the key aspect of the book for the concept to work), were a chance encounter and a third character, Green's Will's best friend Tiny.

The book is as much a The two Will Graysons characters, one written by John Green and one by David Levithan, were well-written constructions of two very different identities. They are very different in their personalities, in how they put themselves on the page, and in fact, the only things that makes the two coincide or have anything in common, (which I suppose was the key aspect of the book for the concept to work), were a chance encounter and a third character, Green's Will's best friend Tiny.

The book is as much about Tiny as it is about either Will, if not more so, as he is involved in both narratives at once, whereas the two Wills barely mention the other, until the last 100 or so pages when the stories become a lot more entwined with each other.The beginning especially feels as though two separate books that were forced to find a tenuous link to bring them together. Tiny became that link.

I definitely preferred Green's Will Grayson, but this is most likely because I could hear John's voice behind the character. There was also a line that alludes to An abundance of Katherines which I was particularly fond of. However, the most profound piece of writing in the whole book came from Levithan's Will, "the idea of a 'mental health day' is something completely invented by people who have no clue what it's like yo have bad mental health. the idea that your mind can be aired out in twenty-four hours is kind of like saying heart disease can be cured if you eat the right breakfast cereal. mental health days only exist for people who have the luxury of saying 'i don't want to deal with things today' and then can take the whole day off, while the rest of us are stuck fighting the fights we always fight".

This book resounds "young adult". I don't know if this was why I did't enjoy it as much as I would've liked to, or if it was just a bit too disjointed. I applaud Green and Levithan for having come up with the idea, I just don't think it was the best narrative for the concept.

And I would've liked MORE Elton John references ...more

Este libro fue un poco decepcionante, le tenía muchas ganas porque los autores me gustan (a Levithan lo amo) pero la realidad es que no pude conectar ni con los personajes ni con la historia.

Great! Although I must confess that every time they mentioned Tiny Dancer I thought about Phoebe Buffay singing "Hold me close young Tony Danzaaa" [image error]

Having said that I should say that I really liked it.

Favorite character: Will Grayson... guess which one? No, really, I think my favorite was Jane.

Least favorite character: Hmmm... I'd have to say no one.

Espectacular! TE DEJA UNA ENSEÑANZA INCREIBLE! las primeras paginas son un poco lentas pero se pone super bueno y de verdad que vale la pena un monton.
