Leí esto después de ver (y amar) la miniserie de la BBC y que decepción que me he llevado. Es uno de esos casos extraordinarios en los que la adaptación es mejor que el libro. La música, la ambientación, el casting de los personajes, logra suavizar las fallas de la historia original.

Por ejemplo, mientras en la adaptación las actitudes de Margaret se perciben como dulces y caritativas, en el libro realmente son despectivas y snobs. El romance es también más flojo en las paginas, aburrido inclusi ...more

Todavía se mantiene como un favorito

Esta segunda relectura, además de la parte romántica que me parece muy bien desarrollada y más real, logré sumergirme más en la postura de la autora y sus personajes respecto a la vida industrial y el dúo patrones-trabajadores. Una novela muy valiosa y must read para aquellos entusiastas de las historia situadas en la Revolución Industrial o las historias románticas con personajes están muy bien pensados.
