My rating is more near 3.5 stars -I did enjoy the book, but I felt it did not pick up my interest until after the first half, when Percy, Thalia, Zoe, Bianca and Grover actually begin the quest. Sure, the first part provides backgound on the new characters as well as more information on the prophecy and Kronos' plan, but I don't know... to me it was a bit slow. Sure, the first part provides backgound on the new characters as well as more information on the prophecy and Kronos' plan, but I don't know... to me it was a bit slow. That said, when the story picked up for me, it definitely did, and I really enjoyed the wonderful adventures over the Hoover dam, and in San Francisco. I also liked that in this installmente, most of the characters are now maturing and growing up, Percy Annabeth, and I did like Thalia as kind of an aggresive yet strong and caring character. Also, Grover is great -honestly one of the sweetest, bravest characters I've read about.

In this volume, Percy and his friends start a quest following the call of Grover, who has identified two siblings, Nico and Bianca DiAngelo, who are also semi-gods. They are met with The General, one of Kronos followers and who's also working with Luke. Among the new allies of the group we find The Hunters, which are led by Artemisa and her second in charge, Zoë. Once again, Percy and his friends start a quest to avoid the destruction of the Olympus but also to save (view spoiler), who are lost early on in the story.

The last 60 pages were really fast-paced and I just couldn't stop reading. There are quite some unexpected decisions by some of the characters and above all, a big revelation which I assume might make the next book a bit darker.

Mi calificación es de 3.5. Si bien disfruté este libro, he de reconocer que me costó engancharme durante la primera mitad del mismo y no fue sino hasta la segunda parte que realmente me interesé y las aventuras se sucedían unas a otras. Viendo la calificación de este tomo, me sorprende porque creo que es de los más gustados, pero supongo que en gustos se rompen géneros. Durante la primera parte, si bien se da mucho contexto a los nuevos personajes y se descubren nuevas pistas sobre la profecía y los planes de Kronos, me pareció que algunas cosas parecían repetitivas. Por suerte, a partir de la segunda parte, realmente las cosas fluyen y es una creciente aventura con un final bastante impactante.

Sin duda, los personajes están madurando y creciendo, de niños a adolescentes -Percy, Thalía, Annabeth. Grover cada vez me parece más entrañable y adorable, un personaje tierno, que se preocupa por Percy y es un verdadero amigo.

Este libro comienza cuando Percy y compañía responden al llamado de Grover, quién ha encontrado a los hermanos DiAngelo, semi-dioses, quienes están siendo perseguidos por El General, uno de los secuaces de Kronos. También aparecen las Cazadoras, encabezadas por Artemisa y Zoë, su segunda a cargo. Tras el ataque, Percy debe iniciar una misión, toda vez que (view spoiler) y la lucha por evitar la destrucción del Olimpo continúa.

Como mencioné, creo que la segunda parte es la más emocionante, con escenas muy entretenidas como la aventura en la presa Hoover, y el enfrentamiento en San Francisco. El final fue muy emocionante con una tremenda revelación que creo dará un tono algo oscuro a los siguientes dos libros. ...more

Percy aún me cae mal, pero tengo que admitir que Riordan tiene una pluma muy adictiva. La historia es la típica de "héroe salva a todos sin querer", pero entretiene mucho. ...more

Ok, libro medio, y vaya que es una aventura

Primero dos chicos demidioses nuevos, y (view spoiler)

Secuestran a Anabeth, si se extraña su personaje, pero a cambio tenemos a Thalia, que aunque es una dinámica distinta con Percy, también queda bien.
También esta Zoe, que también es un buen personaje. Junto con las cazadoras. Y (view spoiler)
