I am having a hard time writing this review and that had not happened in a long time. I enjoyed Birthday because it discussed an issue I am not at all familiar with (people who are transgender and everything they must face and go through) but, as it happens with YA, I feel the literary quality was ok: not mind-blowing but pretty average.
