This was an exciting action story... Which wasn't what I expected, but fine. The photos made the book. I disagree that it's childish, as some of the reviews on here claim. It deals with loss and lost childhood and stalled childhood.

I found this an interesting read. On the back it describes the story as "spine chilling". I would not have used those words. I read this as it was for a book club, and I would not normally have chosen this genre. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the story and found it a real page turner to the end. Stayed awake to finish until 1 a.m.

At times this book dragged and I wish I knew the other peculiar kids a bit better but overall it was a very enjoyable read!

Strange story. Not sure how the students will read it or if they will be able to follow it. Pictures are interesting use.
