WOW ! this is a book I went into because h y p e I didn't know much about it (except it was in a funky format) but it ended up being SO MUCH better then expected. (But I don't know if I love it as much as some people .. it didn't completely live up to the hype)

I thought I was in for a casual space romance...well now I'm rethinking my life choices because this book is so so much better more than that. It's like Walking dead + Star Wars + romance + terminator (Crazy machines get it?) + badass hacker protangist = EPIC.

Y'all all know this book but if you haven't 't this book is a physical journey, like it is pretty much a 4D experience, case files, data reports, messages and puzzles that require physical movement...umm yes please?!

That was freaking epic!

Oh my gosh, hands down one of my new favourites.

I don't usually go for space operas but oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh!!! This book is everything! There are no words! It constantly kept me on the edge of my seat, I gasped and I cried throughout, my little heart just loves Kady and Ezra so much..and Jimmy..oh <3

This book is set in a really cool way in that it has emails and interviews and cool page set ups throughout the book instead or ordinary page to page text. This made it easy to read being the big book that it was and interesting.

i love Kady and Ezra as they never gve up on each other when they got back in contact and stuck together through everything. It was also nice that we could see both of their points of view when major plots were happening throughout the book. I like Ezra as he is so love ...more

Update: Reread it in February 2018, and I am upping my rating to 4 stars from 3.

I enjoyed this book so much more this time around and I've been thinking about why it must be. I am almost certain that the audiobook format gave so much more to the story. I always love an audiobook when there are more than one person, especially when there is a full cast of voice actors for all the different characters. (Graphics Audiobook does these so amazingly, honestly.) And now with this story, it gave so much Update: Reread it in February 2018, and I am upping my rating to 4 stars from 3.

So, some people might not like what I'm about to say, but ehh, I'm going to say this anyway.

This was a mediocre book at best.

I was so excited to read this and to dive into the love that everyone seems to have for this book, but for me the hype was too big and the book couldn't deliver.

I'd like to state that this doesn't mean that the book was bad. I think it was an ok story told in a really unique and new style - which lead to its downfall in the end for me.

At first it seemed like a cool idea. To tell the story through files and text messages and audio records and such, but as cool as it sounded, it sort of seperated the characters from me. I felt like I couldn't connect to the characters this way, I never felt like I knew what the characters were thinking or how they were feeling and that bugged the shit out of me. That was why I loved the diary entries a lot, because there at least we got some glimpse into Kady's mind, but that happened way too little considering the size of the book.

The story was ok, nothing spectacular, but I might only say that because I couldn't get into the characters and hence I couldn't enjoy the story truly either.

Which, again, doesn't mean this is a bad book. I can totally see why so many people like it and rave about it - it's a good book with an awesome idea behind it, but it fell short for me. ...more

Initial thoughts:
I went into this one not expecting much to be honest but I was pleasantly surprised!
Kady and Ezra were a such a cute couple and what starts as romance story turns into a fast paced sci-fi action packed thriller!
