What Members Thought

Okay to begin by saying this book was glorious is pure injustice. But I will say that this story was a waft of fresh air in the young adult trivia. The story takes place in the ancient city of khorasan, in a time of magic and mystical existence. Maybe one of the main reasons I loved this book so much was the use of Persian origin words. I didn't expect to like this as much as I did. but it's so, so beautiful. And the heroine is a wonderful, confident, feminist badass. so many perfect quotable passages. And the romance is lovely. I need the companion/sequel nowwww.

I loved it!! I really did the only thing to annoy me was the 465 million points of view. I wanted Shazi POV and maybe Tariq and maybe another one but we had so many that it sometimes confused me. Not a huge draw back though. The character and plot were amazing and I read it in one night. Once I picked it up I couldn't stop. Will reread when I get through my Big Ben sized TBR pile.
