What Members Thought

“If you fail, all the world will suffer for it.”
“Oh, it’s worse than that. If I fail, I don’t get paid.”
These days, few books can keep me up too late because I value my sleep so highly. Although I used to be able to stay up till all hours finishing books, I've not been able to do so for a few years, even with my favourite books. Six of Crows changed that - It was so intensely gripping, so fast paced and full of action I literally could not put it down. I HAD to see how they pulled off this i ...more

WHAT A BOOK. WHAT A BOOK
Honestly this book was even better to read the second time around. Now that I know the full story, it was so interesting to see foreshadowing and different plot points that were subtly woven in and that later blew my mind the first time. You can read my original review here which is entirely more comprehensive and cohesive and rational. This is just gonna be a collection of paragraphs of me screami ...more

Readin in 2021:
I'm upping my rating from 4 to 5 stars because honestly this is still pretty dope and I am not sure why exactly I gave this a four star instead of five.
The characters and their stories is still what gives this story life and defines how amazing this is, and I love all six of them so so much, I am just weeping over them.
Also it was a really interesting experience to read this now that I have read the original trilogy, that I know what happened two years before and I recognize when ...more

Well, there's not much to say about this book other than, "yaassssss."
I was skeptical at first, having read the Shadow and Bone series. However, I was captivated by the characters, their developing back stories and the truly suspenseful cliffhanger Bardguo left us with at the end of the book.
Leigh, can you write faster please? I'm dying for number two.. ...more

After reading everyone's rave reviews, I was worried to pick up this book and read it. This book didn't *quite* live up to its high expectations.
Don't get me wrong, this book is great! It's like the movie "The Italian Job" but set in an amazing world. 6 people, 1 heist and a great adventure. I loved the characters. You could sense that they all had a purpose to the plot. They were often questioning why they were there and what their purpose was in life & to the heist...it made them very real. An ...more

This book is badass. The characters are badass, the world-building and characters extremely well-written, the words and the way this book was written is phenomenally badass. That is all I can spit out right now because I'm still reeling from the book hangover. Bless Leigh Bardugo, bless this book so much, Six of Crows blew me away with its complexity in both the story and characters. Thank you for creating Matthias and Nina *bows down* 4/5 stars!!!
