What Members Thought
I don't usually like romance, yet this had enough mystery and adventure to not only keep my attention span, but to real me in! I also enjoyed the other story these ladies wrote, something about a Nut. That one took place in Michigan, so I was disappointed that this was not in Michigan. However, both books were about beer, and although I can't drink it (migraines), I enjoy it and the process of making it.

I enjoyed this period romance full of humor. What a delightful read.
Very cute.
Cant remember Janet Evanovich writing a period piece. Not laugh out loud like her Stephanie Plum series, but still a good read.
This started out rough to get through. I wanted to read it because of evonovich being the author.... It is nothing like her other series. Once I got in the proper late 1800s time frame of mind, I really enjoyed it. It was exciting. I just have to remember to be in the right mood before trying one of these books again!
This was much better than the last book these two did together, but it still wasn't spectacular. I enjoyed it for what it was, but I guess I just don't care for historical type novels. All in all it was alright.
