I tend to like medical books. His book on Aids during his early medical career was riveting. While some of the plot was somewhat far fetched, I really liked his writing and I thoroughly enjoyed the story and found it very emotional.

Such a wonderful book. It made me laugh and cry and want more. It was a fascinating look into a vastly different culture than mine and made me think about the way immigrants are treated in the US.

Oh my god, I loved this book. Excellent writing, interesting locations, provocative story. Also I know a doctor from Ethiopia and the description fits him perfectly. I did a little snooping and it looks like he did his residency in New York. He is now at Mayo in Rochester and pretty far up the chain. What a multicultural insightful book.
