I can't say enough good things about this book. I was a little kid during the final few years of the Vietnam War and reading this book helped me put so many names and references into context: Henry Kissinger, the Pentagon Papers, Daniel Ellsberg, G. Gordon Liddy, to name a few. But what I learned from this book was much more than a history lesson, it also gives today's politics and war tactics some context. Mostly it makes me skeptical and a little more alert. And yes, overwhelmed by how far out ...more
