I didn't HATE this book, but I definitely didn't love it. It's hard to say exactly what I did feel. At times (many times) I thought WTF! At others times I found it entirely amusing and would think that perhaps I was starting to like it. Then he would say, "and so it goes" and I would want to throw it across the room. Peg - reading heals
I don't really know what to say about this. I liked it, but it didn't pack the punch I'd expected. It is often categorized as Science Fiction but it didn't feel very sci-fi to me. I think what we deem sci-fi has come a long way since this was written. This book is hailed as a classic but I feel like I missed something, like the thing that everyone loves went right over my head. Shelves: a-reread, audio-book
Billy Pilgrim was in World War II, in Dresden when it was bombed. He was a POW. He time travelled. He was kidnapped by aliens. Sex plays a part in this book. And so it goes. War is terrible. And so it goes.

I had never read any Vonnegut before, so I had no idea what to expect. I really enjoyed it. A great story written very well.
