I have mixed feelings about this book and would technically give it 3 1/2 stars. I read it for my book group for the category related to "a culture I'm unfamiliar with." Yes, indeed. This book is about Yeonmi Park's life in North Korea, subsequent escape into China where she was sold and forced to be the mistress of a human trafficker, and then finally made her escape to South Korea.
