What Members Thought

This book was everything good fiction should be. The characters were well developed, there was enough literature thrown in to please the literary snob, it was based on a real event in history(the occupation of Guernsey) and the letter format held my interest. And a happy romantic ending to boot. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

To say that I loved this book would be a gross understatement. It has now been added to my "favorites" shelf. So many times I laughed out loud and so quickly I became enthralled with the lives of these characters. I hoped for them. I laughed and cried for them and in the end, I did both at the same time. If I could make Dawsy into a real life man, I would marry him instantly!! And lovely Juliet would be my best friend. This book... so wonderful. I won't say more or anything about the plot becaus
