Started reading The Summer We Read Gatsby by Danielle Ganek and was compelled to stop and reread The Great Gatsby again. Loved it even more this third time around.
"They were careless people, Tom and Daisy—they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness, or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made. . ."
Wow! So much to say! But first, I am SO glad I'm doing the 2016 Reading Challenge because it's inspiring me to read books I've always wanted to read and challenging me to read books outside my norm.

I "read" it in high school, but there was no way for me to be able to appreciate it then. I re-read it as an adult, which made it so much more enjoyable and interesting. Wonderfully written, interesting story, intriguing characters.
