What Members Thought

I loved the first half of this book—so much reflection and insight on loss and grief, complex character development, and unspindling of a delicious mystery. Then the whole thing devolved into gore and torture and an attempt at suspense mostly dependent on internal obsessing dialogue, my pet peeve.

Another page-turner from Karin Slaughter, but this one was even darker and more twisted than her books usually are. But I couldn't put it down, and it took until the final pages for all of the mysteries to be resolved. Great book.
