The storyline sounded very intriguing. I read this challenge topic as "a book and its prequel", which to me is very different than a book and its sequel. Fireflies was a good story, a bit simplistic at times, but very creative and I cared about the characters. The prequel, "hope from the ocean", found me even more engaged with the characters.
