Tom Sherbourne is a WWI vet and takes a job as a lighthouse keeper on an island off the coast of Australia, Janus Rock. He meets Isabel on one of his leaves to town and woos her over a couple of years, then marries her and brings her to the island to live. I was told I would need Kleenex at the end and that was no lie.....! A really great story that takes place in Australia. Highly recommend!
