Felicity
It is wonderful and strange to go back and re-read childhood favorites. While this is still infinitely readable and absorbing, it frustrates me how Jo's "rough edges" are rubbed away, and of course, the preachiness is a little harder to take than it used to be. I suggest "March" for a more twenty-first century interpretation of what's going on in the hearts and minds of a few of the favorite characters. ...more
