I think this might be the first time I've ever said this, but here goes: don't bother reading the print book. Listen to the audiobook instead.
This collection of personal stories is written in such an informal, conversational style that I firmly believe it "reads" better out loud. Drew narrates the audiobook herself. Driving around listening to it felt like she was just riding in the passenger's seat, chatting with me.

I really wanted to like this more. I like Drew Barrymore and was hopeful for this book. And was disappointed. I imagine she writes like she talks/thinks - which can work for some people and books, but just didn't here. And the overuse of exclamation points drove me batty. I wouldn't tell people not to read it, just don't have high expectations. ...more
