I must be a closet pre-teen, but I really liked this book, down to the hokey cover. The whole Christian (or anti) angle was a little too obvious, but the storytelling and constant intrigue was riveting-- every character had an interesting storyline going on and the politics and roles of the time was fascinating. She interwove the storylines very well.
