What Members Thought
An aggressive, first person narrative about being intersex--something Alex doesn't even know the name of until midway through the book. It's a really interesting look at how to handle feeling like a gender you don't necessarily look like on the outside. Parents struggle here, quite a bit, which adds to the drama. I like the use of mommy forums as a way for us to understand what Alex's mother feels throughout the book and how she might be steering herself and Alex wrong. I wish we had more time t
