This book wasn’t on my radar until it was chosen for the Governerd book club this season, and I’m really glad that it was. Reyna Grande shared such insightful and vulnerable parts of her life. She recounted so many events in her life — many of them harrowing, including crossing the border as a child — with great clarity and directness.
