I read this book in < 24 hours. As a post-apocalyptic tale, it's sort of unsatisfying, and the descriptions of what happened out in the world to cause so many troubles are unsatisfying at best. And the moral or message or whatever was pretty blunt. BUT, for some reason I always get a kick out of books where people are having to live off the land. And she sort of nailed the earnest, bookish 16 year old (not that I'd um, know anything about that, nope).

I have not found that many people who have read this book (well before I came on here) I really enjoyed it-the kind of book where you are completely transported into the situation and prompts you to consider what you would do if faced with the same circumstances.
