I wasn't familiar with Daisy Hernández's work before I saw this book on a list of audiobooks by Latinx authors and decided to listen - bonus points for reading it herself in a conversational tone. It was a good memoir - vulnerable and touching on a lot of issues, including LGBTQ+ members of the Latinx community, mixed-nationality parents with third-country-national kids, and what it's like to be a woman of color on the New York Times staff vs. the Colorlines staff.
