This book is part dishy memoir and part primer on issues and misconceptions facing poor trans women of color. Mock spends so much time analyzing and contextualizing her experience it's hard to get in to the memoir part. That said, her life story is interesting and the analysis is informative.

Think the audio detracted from my enjoyment of this one. I would have preferred to skim thru some parts.
