Ew. It could have been the fact I listened to this rather than read it, but I was thoroughly grossed out by this book. It didn't help that I usually listen to audiobooks while cooking...Twas hard to shake away the creepy ick factor of mouse urine, slime tongues, and antennae dismemberment. Cute story that personifies bees, bringing a totally different perspective of the world and the society in the hive.

Would be interested in something that laid out what was/wasn’t based on real observations of bees. If based on fact, this story would be a great one for kids.
