Marge Piercy is one of my all time favorite authors, and once again she does not disappoint. In the spirit of "Gone to Soldiers" and "City of Darkness, City of Light," Piercy once again invites the reader into a historical world, populated with real historical figures and brought to life by fictional (though based in fact) characters that immediately draw the reader in. Sex Wars: A Novel of the Turbulent Post-Civil War Period by Marge Piercy was so interesting! I wonder how accurate the historical bits were. Just think if the women's movement never happened. Oy the mess we'd be in now! It's so foreign to think about! ...more
