I need to stop reading about thoughtful Midwesterners; as much as they are family, they make me sad.

i thought this book was ok. i didn't really get into it. the characters were all so distant but maybe that's what Robinson wanted, distance. also i have issues with christianity, so those issues didn't interest me at all. it did have one shining moment, and i presume this is where the title came from,
