oh man. i was a fool! a fool who did not know this was a chapbook
do not get me wrong, i would 100% have read it either way! but if i had the sense to check the metadata first i PROBABLY would've held out for amazon to put this on one of its' $.99 sales
@warsan shire: plz to be publishing a full collection for me to purchase and love. nothing huge, just like a book the size of rupi kaur's milk and honey would do. or that richard siken collection! i get that poetry books are small but you are 2 TAL ...more

I never know how to write about poetry, but this was one of the rawest collections of poetry I've ever read. It will sear you to your core, whether Shire is writing about abuse at the hands of a partner or a government. Read it - it's so, so good.
