This one was a wild ride. I really hated Claire for most of it but overall, solid read.
This book wasn't for me. Actually, that's not quite true-- parts of this book were fantastic: women saving each other, meditations on trust, and creepy houses. That said, I'm really losing interest in torture books. It's one thing to know that something terrible happened to a character but I have no interest in witnessing it, especially when it's not really essential to describe it for the plot.
