I've only owned this book for nearly a decade. I s'pose I ought to read the damn thing. LOL.
Finally finished it...not a hard read, but since I'm familiar with more recent scholarship on the topic, it wasn't breaking new ground for me. It's hard to remember that when this book was published, the ideas in it were new and shocking. It takes a mental twist or two to unknow what I know, and give the book the fair reading it deserves.
