This is the story of an intersex teenager told in various first person reports. For me, one of the most enlightening quotes was when the child's doctor contrasts being transgender with being intersex; she classifies them as opposites. Being one gender and wanting to be another vs. feeling okay as you are, but being forced to choose. Very interesting and unique point of view.

Wonderful characters, loved the writing style, felt pulled into this story about an intersex teen boy and his struggles, joys, family, and figuring out how to be his own person while coping with a lot of complicating factors.
