Wonderful book. A magical sort of auto biography, that kept me up reading until quite late at night, and reminded me of how much I enjoy reading latin american literature in my native tongue. Anything can happen in this book, and it does, maybe a bit too much. Imaginative, but not condescending, and brushing on the violent history of her country as a colorful background for her even more colorful characters, there are many scenes of "Eva Luna" that will stick in my mind for a while. ...more
