What Members Thought

A perfect read for when you're home sick. Well-written, well-researched and well-woven, this story of a family in Haiti before and during the rebellion, and then in Louisiana afterwards, is a pleasure to read.

Not one of Isabel Allende's best, though it was a good source of history of the formation of Haiti and Louisiana.
