Meh. This was okay. I thought the fact that Johnson allowed the relationship between Mel and Avery to be complicated (Mel knows she's gay, and Avery isn't sure what she is) was great. Their romance was the most real one in the whole book. But a lot of things fell apart here. I actually didn't like Nina very much. She's mean to Parker even though he is irrepressibly kind; she won't go out with him because he's "not going anywhere," and instead chooses Steve, who cheated on her (and the book doesn ...more
