Of all of Maureen Johnson's books, this one didn't quite do it for me. It was still a fast read with quick scenes and snappy dialogue, but I felt like it was leading somewhere it didn't quite go-- to be honest I was more interested in the last couple pages, where undead Owen and Jane make out and become a thing, and Jane joins this demon-fighting troop with Brother Frank, than I was when Jane was figuring out how to defeat Lanalee the demon and save her best friend.

Mmm, devilishly delicious. Maureen Johnson writes about the supernatural? Count me in! Sometimes there seems to be some information about the supernatural stuff missing but the book is supposed to be mysterious. Plus, I love the main character, Jane Jarvis, who is a tiny little smart ass.
