What Members Thought

Smith touches again on the differences of class, race, gender, that can divide us--even in families. She really seems to be able to understand her characters and humanize even those ones that aren't particularly likeable. Doesn't have the same depth of White Teeth, but still an interesting story.

Still definitely Zadie Smith, but much more mature in a more exquisite way compared to White Teeth's more youthful frenzy. Excellent writing. Highly recommended reading.
