An acerbic, witty, deadpan and scathing view of life in Hollywood during the 70's. Not a happy story, but I can see the progress in Didion's writing here. I still favor the non-fiction, but this was worthwhile. Note to those who hate sad/depressing books: you might not want to pick this one up.
