one of those college books that i fell in love with, and have toted with me around the world. didion cannot be matched, as far as i'm concerned, particularly in her personal essays. i am always awed by her sentences.

I love immersing myself in Joan Didion's wonderful, concise and observant prose. I drool over her stylistic prose and believe that she is one of a few writers who absolutely nail California and its strange ambiance.
