I think this may be one of the most beautiful books I have ever read. The prose is simply heartbreaking. The death of the middle child begins the story, but the tragedy lies in the disintegration of the family, and the secrets they keep from each other.
I received this book in a goodreads giveaway.

This story captivated me from the start. It is a haunting look at family pressures, wasted dreams, and a child's wish to please. Really just heart breaking.
