This book had a unique story, a unique perspective, and best of all a strong voice and excellent prose. It was eminently readable.

Two girls fathered by the same man, one of whom is hidden from the other and is fascinated by the other, deal with life, friendships, and family. I try to read at least one book written by a Black author during February/Black History Month, and this beautifully written story about a bigamist and his two daughters was a great read that dealt with race, family, sisterhood, the complexity of marriages and biological families versus found families. I truly enjoyed it and will read more from this author in the future for sure!
