What Members Thought
I went into this book not really knowing anything about it except that people were raving over its writing and that it’s about a queer man whose family immigrated from Vietnam. And the writing is lush, ever-widening ripples of words and images that is far beyond my capabilities to judge or comprehend. Lovely, raw, and completely beyond me.
I read Roxanne Gay's review and I was worried that there would not be enough plot going on for me to really love this book... but there was, and I did.
